Jackie & Jason “Stealing The Covers”

“Stealing The Covers” is a concept originated by Jason’s aunt, Susan Cowsill, and the Susan Cowsill Band, for their monthly performance at Carrollton Station in New Orleans. They called it “Covered In Vinyl”. Now, Jackie & Jason are proud to be carrying the concept to the Northwest as “Stealing The Covers”.
Each month their second set features their interpretation of an entire album, first song to last (reminiscent of the days when music was published on vinyl LP’s and people listened to all the songs in order). Along with the challenge of learning 11-13 new songs each month and translating them into an arrangement for two voices and a guitar, they also produce a promotional poster featuring their “interpretation” of the original album cover art.
